Author Anita Heiss will share her work at Logan North Library on July 18.

Brisbane-based author Anita Heiss will be sharing her work at Logan North Library this month as one of Australia’s most prolific writers across a range of genres including contemporary Aboriginal life in Australia.

Anita regularly shares her heritage through the non-fiction, historical fiction, poetry and children’s literature she produces.

She is a proud member of the Wiradjuri nation of central New South Wales but was born in Gadigal country, south of Sydney, and has spent much of her life on Dharawal land, further south near La Perouse.

Today she lives in Brisbane where she also sits on the board of the State Library of Queensland.

Anita will discuss her latest book Growing up Aboriginal in Australia and her role as Lifetime Ambassador with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation at Logan North Library from 6pm on Thursday, July 18.

Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 3412 4140 or booking online at loganlibraries.org/
