Jungle jam coming to Logan Art Gallery

Wildlife from all over the world is set to put in an appearance at the Logan Art Gallery this weekend.

City Lifestyle and Community Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said international wildlife was the theme for the free Family Fun Day and Creative Markets being held at the Logan Art Gallery on Saturday (April 21).

“The gallery is hosting a day of animal-themed activities and fun,” Cr Swenson said.

“Visitors will be able to watch artists demonstrate their skills and get involved with animal inspired art activities.

“They will also be able to watch live animal demonstrations and learn about animals in their natural habitat as well as see small animals at the petting zoo.

“There will also be body art performers, face painting, animal mask making, a bouncy castle, live music and food and drink stalls.”

Cr Swenson said the popular regular creative markets, featuring a range of homemade items, would operate outside the gallery during the day.

“This will allow people to pick up a special and unique gift in time for Mother’s Day which is fast approaching in mid-May.”

The day will run from 10am to 2pm at the gallery on the corner of Wembley Rd and Jacaranda Ave, Logan Central.
