Logan Safe City Awards nominations open
Published: 10 August 2018
Is there a volunteer individual, group, not-for-profit organisation or government agency that you would like to recognise for helping to make the City of Logan even more welcoming, inclusive and safe? If so, nominate them today for the 2018 City of Logan Safe City Awards.
City Lifestyle and Community Chair, Councillor Steve Swenson, said individuals and groups who worked tirelessly to promote safety and inclusion in the City of Logan needed to be acknowledged for their contributions to the community.
“People deserve to feel welcomed and safe in their community, and what the City of Logan Safe City Awards recognise is that everyone has a role in promoting safety in our neighbourhoods,” Cr Swenson said.
“Whether it's increasing safety awareness, promoting respectful relationships, preventing violence or protecting residents, we want to know what individuals and groups are doing, and thank them for their valuable contributions to the community.”
There are three award categories: not-for-profit, government and volunteer (individual or group).
Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, September 3. Forms can be downloaded from or completed on Council’s website.
All nominees and nominators will be invited to the awards ceremony, which will be held in November at the Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre.
