Photo tips on offer for Logan arts workers
Published: 1 June 2018
Art workers in Logan will be given the opportunity to learn how to improve their photography skills at a special workshop this month.
City Lifestyle and Community Committee Chairperson Councillor Steve Swenson said this month’s Logan Artsworkers Networking Event (LANE) would be focused on how people could take great photographs of their project or event.
Cr Swenson said the workshop would be held from 2pm to 4pm on June 9 at the Logan Art Gallery.
“Participants will be able to join commercial and documentary photographer Louis Lim, known for his portraiture and visual storytelling, and Dr Merri Randell who works in still and motion photography as they provide practical guidance on how to best document your project or event,” he said.
“This is a great way for local arts workers to access some free information on how best to present their projects or events to the community.”
Light refreshments will be served so bookings are essential by June 7 by calling 3412 5519 or via logan.qld.gov.au/galleryevents
