Interim Management Committee
On 14 June 2019, the Minister for Local Government announced the establishment of Logan’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) to support the Interim Administrator with advice on a range of Council matters. Four former Councillors have been appointed to the committee: Lisa Bradley, Laurie Koranski, Darren Power and Jon Raven. In addition to these members, Mr Gary Kellar and Mr Brent Lillywhite have been appointed as subject experts to support the Interim Administrator with specialist advice.
"Transition to Council" Plan
On 9 July 2019, Interim Administrator Ms Tamara O'Shea, endorsed the IMC's ‘Transition to Council’ plan. This plan outlines the committee's scope of work leading up to the next election in March 2020.
The agreed vision that has set the priorities and projects for the IMC over the next nine months is:
"To restore the community's confidence in their Local Government by giving the next elected Council the best possible foundations from which to successfully lead the City of Logan."
To deliver on this vision, the IMC has identified opportunities for improvement across a range of areas. These include governance, planning and performance and community engagement.
