Logan Eco Awards
The Logan Eco Awards recognise those in the community that are taking steps to help Logan become a more environmentally sustainable city. Winners receive $250 and public recognition as the environmental leaders in their community.
2019 Logan Eco Awards
Nominations for the 2019 Logan Eco Awards are open Monday 25 February and close Friday 29 March. Apply now!
There are four categories to enter:
Eco Champion - Open to all City of Logan residents that have taken steps to help the natural environment in some way. A nominee may be rescuing injured native animals, leading a Bushcare group or other environmental group, improving the eco-efficiency of their house, restoring or protecting bushland on their block of land, or be a community advocate for environmental sustainability
Junior Eco Champion - Open to all City of Logan school age (primary or secondary) residents that have taken steps to help the natural environment in some way. They may have lead or participated in environmental activities at school, at a youth, social, sports or cultural group or helped the environment in some other capacity outside of school
Eco Business - Open to all City of Logan businesses that have taken steps to help the natural environment in some way. They may have reduced the environmental footprint of their operations by reducing energy consumption or waste generation, conducted staff education regarding environmental issues, demonstrated leadership to the community on an environmental issue, or taken other environmentally beneficial actions
Eco Organisation - Open to all City of Logan based not for profit organisations such as schools or environmental groups and community groups that have taken steps to help the natural environment. They may have reduced the environmental footprint of their operations, conducted student or community environmental education activities, or undertaken environmental advocacy
The awards are open to all residents, businesses, schools and organisations within the City of Logan - Nominate now! Winners of the Logan Eco Awards are acknowledged for their efforts at LEAF. Details of the eco-actions undertaken by the winners and by those of previous years are provided below.

Terms and Conditions
1. Nominees must be a resident/business/school within the City of Logan.
2. Nominators must have the permission of the nominee.
3. Council employees and/or elected members are ineligible to apply.
4. All data collected will be retained by Logan City Council and may be used for marketing purposes where applicable (personal details will not be used).
5. Late nominations will not be accepted.
6. Previous winners are eligible to apply in future years however will only be judged on eco actions taken since previous win.
7. Where relevant, a Council Officer may request to meet with nominee to verify content.
