Safe City Logan Activities

From 2018, Council has been implementing a new approach to delivering community-based crime prevention and community safety activities. This new approach has increased the frequency of and opportunities for community members and groups to participate in a wider variety of community safety and crime prevention events/activities each year.

The Community Safety Program will regularly update this page with additional information on upcoming Safe City Logan initiatives throughout the year. Keep an eye on our Logan City Council Facebook page for further information about upcoming crime prevention/ community safety activities or contact us to register to receive our Safe City Logan quarterly e-newsletter.

Campaign commenced 14 January 2019.“Don’t be a Fool, Secure Your Tools” campaignCouncil is encouraging Logan tradies to secure their tools and residents to be vigilant through its new crime prevention campaign aimed at reducing construction site theft.This campaign will run predominantly in Yarrabilba and surrounding suburbs throughout January and February 2019.No. There are no community events connected with this targeted initiative. Residents can show their support by reporting suspicious activity around construction sites to Police and by spreading the campaign message on social media. 7 February 2019Proactive CPTED Audit of Logan City parkCrime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a crime prevention strategy which attempts to incorporate elements of environmental design which are likely to decrease criminal activity and the fear of crime.
