The Community training program offers volunteers, community groups and organisations free development opportunities to:

  • inspire new ideas
  • develop awareness
  • build skills and knowledge
  • connect and learn with others.

Please note:

  • the training sessions and workshops listed below are subject to change
  • all sessions are free unless otherwise stated
  • due to high demand spaces are limited to one person’s attendance per organisation. We thank you for your understanding
  • these workshops are available for individual volunteers, groups and service organisations working and providing support within the Logan community.

Community Governance Workshop

 

Governance for charities and non-profits has evolved over the last 10 years and continues to transform. This workshop will give you the tools, knowledge and actions needed to improve board effectiveness and help better decision making.

During the 2.5-hour session you will discover a best practice framework for governance, perform a checklist on your organisation and make a start on an action plan for improvement.
