About this event

You may not have noticed before, but our rivers and creeks are home to hundreds of different species of waterbugs!

Through their presence or absence, we are able to determine whether a particular waterway is healthy or not.

The data collected is nationally recognised and is shared with our local councils to provide up to date information about the health of our waterways. Collecting and identifying these waterbugs also happens to be a whole heap of fun! This event is suitable for children 6 and over - parental supervision required.

This Waterbugs Survey at Cedar Creek is part of a Water Quality Monitoring Program to collect nationally recognised data that is shared with local councils to provide up-to-date information about the health of our waterways.

You can book online through Eventbrite, Register today, spaces are limited!

For more information contact watermonitoring@watergum.org

A Logan City Council activity delivered by Watergum, the event is as part of the City of Logan's Environmental Events and Activities Program and Council’s Logan Rivers and Wetlands Recovery Plan.
