Biosecurity Serveillance Program 2018/19
Council will be conducting a Biosecurity Surveillance Program (PDF 122 KB) (formerlty the City of Logan Pest Management Plan 2014 - 2018) for invasive plants and animals that are restricted or prohibited and are identified as high or medium priority pests under the Biosecurity Act 2014.
1 July to 30 September 2018 (Program 1) - Mother of Millions.
1 October to 30 November 2018 (Program 2) - Cat's Claw Creeper, Honey Locust, Hymenachne, Salvinia, Senegal Tea, Tropical Soda Apple, Water Hyacinth, Water Lettuce, Water Mimosa.
1 December 2018 to 31 March 2019 (Program 3) - Alligator Weed, Annual Ragweed, Hygrophila, Honey Locust, Rats Tail Grasses, Groundsel bush, Hymenachne, Salvinia, Senegal Tea, Water Hyacinth, Water Lettuce.
1 April 2019 to 30 June 2019 (Program 4) - Alligator Weed, Hygrophila, Parthenium, Senegal Tea.
Year round - Prickly Pear Species, Leucaena, Kudzu, Singapore Daisy and Parthenium.
Annual Systematic Inspection Program
Council at is meeting of 26/06/2018 Minute No: 191/2018 adopted the following:
Systematic inspection programs for unregistered cats.
That the Annual Systematic Inspection Program for unregistered cats, be approved and undertaken between the following dates, on premises in identified suburbs in accordance with sections 133, 134 and 135 of the Local Government Act 2009:
Monday 5 November 2018 until Friday 5 January 2019 (Program 1)
Monday 28 January 2019 until Friday 30 March 2019 (Program 2)
Monday 22 April 2019 until Friday 22 June 2019 (Program 3); and
Monday 8 July 2019 until Friday 7 September 2019 (Program 4).
Systematic inspection programs for unregistered dogs.
That the Annual Systematic Inspection Program for unregistered dogs be approved and undertaken between the following dates, under ther Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008, Section 113(e):
Monday 6 August 2018 until Friday 1 February 2019 (Program 1); and
Monday 11 March 2019 until Friday 6 September 2019 (Program 2).
