Home Library

Logan City Council Libraries, through a network of volunteer community workers, provides library material to all Logan residents, of all ages, who are unable to access the Library independently.

This service is catered to individual residents and is hand-picked to ensure the items selected match personal preferences. The deliveries are monthly and the date/time are set to suit the borrower and volunteer. Visits can be made on a permanent or temporary basis.

Becoming a volunteer

Join this valuable community service by becoming a volunteer for the home library service. You will need to be reliable, kind and sincere people with access to private transport. All prospective volunteers must be prepared to undergo a police criminal history check, carry vehicle insurance and must hold a current drivers licence.

If you are able to give two hours or more per month at a time that suits you (Monday to Saturday) please contact Logan City Council Libraries.

On the Homefront

The library produces a biannual newsletter, On the Homefront, especially for home library service borrowers and volunteers.
