Logan Safety Camera Program
The Logan Safety Camera Program is designed to increase community safety in Logan through real-time CCTV safety camera monitoring and recording. The cameras operate in public spaces 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The purpose of the Logan Safety Camera Program is to:
- increase community safety throughout Logan
- detect and reduce anti-social and unlawful behaviour
- support the Queensland Police Service to identify and effectively prosecute offenders.
We work closely with the Queensland Police Service to deliver the Safety Camera Program. More than 200 safety cameras, which are directly linked to police stations and police iPads are operating in Logan.
Enquiring about CCTV footage
We keep the CCTV footage captured on the Logan Safety Camera Program network for 30 days. We may keep the footage for more than 30 days if someone requests the footage or if an incident may have been recorded.
In line with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) we can release CCTV footage to the police. Before we release footage we follow a strict process to make sure we maintain privacy.
