Council worker cleans graffiti of a blue wall

Help prevent graffiti

Help us keep your neighbourhood looking clean and tidy by reporting graffiti in your area.

We will remove graffiti from the external boundaries of your property.

To help prevent graffiti, consider using some of these tips:

  • plant bushes or shrubs in front of fences or walls to stop easy access
  • install sensor lights so your property is visible
  • use dark colours to paint fences
  • use materials like chain wire, pool fencing, lattice or rough surfaces that are less inviting to graffiti
  • use stain-resistant paint to make graffiti removal easier
  • think about getting a mural for your fence.

Mural artists

Our mural artists take great pride in their work and are asked to assist in many projects like painting murals and touching up existing artwork around the city.

On the left two men in Council uniforms paint a mural on a wall. On the right, black and white vintage murals are painted on a wall.

Report graffiti

You can report graffiti:

Graffiti on Transport and Main Roads or Queensland Rail areas

Our team is unable to remove graffiti from highways or train stations, as these are assets of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and Queensland Rail (QR).

For more information on reporting graffiti on a TMR or QR asset you can report through Queensland Government.
