Role of the Interim Administrator

As Interim Administrator, Ms O'Shea has all the responsibilities and powers of Mayor and councillors. She will perform this role until the next local government election in March 2020.

Ms O'Shea is committed to making well-informed decisions under the law, legislation, policies and evidence.

She will focus on the following key areas:

Tamara O'Shea – Biography

Ms O'Shea is a well-respected leader with a distinguished career as a senior public servant.

She has more than 30 years' experience in the public sector at state and federal levels. Ms O'Shea also has extensive experience in governance and policy.

She most recently held the positions of:

  • Director-General of the Department of Local Government, Racing and Multicultural Affairs
  • Director-General of the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing.

Her career has involved governance oversight and she has extensive experience with complex and changing environments.

Ms O'Shea has an interest in corporate governance, strategic policy analysis and creative problem solving.

In her role as Interim Administrator, Ms O'Shea is committed to:

  • ensuring stable leadership
  • continuity of service
  • good governance for the City of Logan.
