The planning scheme amendments related to Park Ridge involve significant development in the area to cater for population growth and will ensure that Park Ridge develops as an integrated, sustainable urban community and employment area.
Planning Scheme Amendment 2009 No.5 (Park Ridge Structure Plan)
Logan City Council adopted the Planning Scheme Amendment 2009 No.5 (Park Ridge Structure Plan) on 25 October 2011 and has taken effect following notification in the Government Gazette on 11 November 2011. The Amendment was incorporated in the historic Logan Planning Scheme 2006.
The aim of the plan is for an integrated, well planned, well serviced urban community and employment area that is defined by an extensive environment, parks and waterways network. The plan identifies infrastructure requirements, land constraints and natural assets, as well as land uses and residential densities. This plan will guide development in the Park Ridge area for the coming decades.
