Tertiary Education Bursaries

Logan City Council and some of the most respected organisations in South East Queensland have combined their resources to provide financial assistance to young people in Logan who wish to undertake tertiary studies.

Students from families with limited financial resources are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants receive a $5,000 bursary in instalments for each semester (or trimester) of a three-year course.


Are you:

  • currently completing Year 12 and demonstrating commitment to your studies
  • a resident of the City of Logan
  • planning to undertake full-time undergraduate tertiary studies in 2022
  • in need of some financial assistance to realise your goal.

Applications and how to apply

Applications for the 2021/2022 round are now open and will close on Friday 3 December 2021.

All applications are to be submitted online. You can apply online through Smartygrants.

Late or incomplete applications may not be accepted.

How is the decision made?

All applications that meet the selection criteria and the 2021 City of Logan Tertiary Education Bursary Policy will be reviewed by a selection panel in January 2022.

Applications will be rated according to:

  • academic ability
  • educational highlights
  • motivation to succeed
  • financial hardship
  • personal/social circumstances.
