During heavy rain, wastewater networks can become inundated with stormwater causing wet weather overflows or maintenance lids to pop.
We’re attending to a higher volume of jobs as the rain and flooding from Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred has caused the levels in our wastewater network to rise.
We have additional crews working to respond to wet weather overflows or popped maintenance hole lids so if you’ve logged a job, our crews will attend as soon as possible however there may be a delay as we are attending to a high volume of responsive jobs.
Please do not attempt to fix council-owned assets: keep clear of damaged stormwater drains, damaged water main pipes, water bursts or maintenance hole lids that have shifted.
If you’ve experienced a sewage overflow on your property or notice a popped maintenance hole lid, please report it on 3412 3412 (press 1 for Logan Water).
