We want to recognise citizens who have made significant contributions to the development of Logan City.

The inaugural Wall of Acclaim inductees were announced on 8 March 2004 at the Logan Entertainment Centre. The inaugural inductees were:

Darren Hayes
Daniel Jones
Reg Knox
Davida Steel

The Wall of Acclaim is located outside the southern entrance to the Logan City Council Administration Centre, 150 Wembley Road Logan Central.

Selection Criteria

An outstanding achievement or a demonstrated commitment to excellence, for example:
- Internationally significant achievement (e.g. A world first or scientific development)
- Nationally significant achievement (e.g. an Australian first)
- An achievement of great regional significance
- Outstanding performance at an international competition (e.g. Sport, Work skills, Award or Performance)
- Outstanding cultural or artistic achievement or contribution at a national or international level.
Has demonstrated qualities of city ambassadorship, for example:
- Actively displays quantities of ambassadorship (eg. positive references in the media)
- Identifies specifically with the community of Logan.
Has displayed integrity and character in both their professional and personal lives, for example:
- Held in high regard in the community (highly regarded)
- Displays inspirational qualities
- Can be described as a leader or role model.
Has made an outstanding contribution to the community, for example:
- Has made a significant contribution to the development of Logan
- Long-term volunteer for a Logan-based charity (highly regarded)
- Long term volunteer for a charity
- A long standing commitment to the development and prosperity of Logan through a business or organisation.
Is a Logan resident or has a close association to Logan, for example:
- Current Logan resident (highly regarded)
- Former Logan resident for a minimum 2 years (well regarded)
- Strong association with Logan

Note: Achievements of a purely political or commercial nature will not be considered.

The Selection Process

A list of candidates will be prepared from the nominations received and will be presented to the Awards Committee for consideration. Recommendations made by the Committee are final and no correspondence will be entered in regards to the selection of the inductee.
