Nest box Building 18th May 2024
About this event
Although most of us live in urban environments, we share those spaces with lots of native wildlife!
Many Australian animals rely on tree hollows for homes and when they aren’t available, they can find themselves in tricky situations, becoming trapped in buildings and vulnerable to predators. One solution is to build a hollow replacement in the form of a nest box!
This workshop will provide up to 20 families with the wood to construct your own nest box that you can then put up at home in your garden. You will be guided in how to build your nest box and how to select a location for it where it will be suitable for native wildlife.
Registrations required for all attendees - spaces are limited!
