Active and Healthy program

Our Active and Healthy program (formerly Live Well Logan) offers free or low-cost physical activity, health and wellbeing programs near you. Activities are suitable for everyone, regardless of your age, gender, mobility or work schedule

Keeping fit and healthy has never been so important. Regular exercise can have a positive impact on mental health and well-being as it can:

  • relieve stress
  • improve your memory
  • help you sleep better
  • boost your mood.

Activities

There will be an updated digital booklet available in late January 2022. Please check with the individual providers to ensure the activity you would like to attend is still taking place. Some activities have had a delayed start to the year, or not occurring or have had a change in location or start time.

To help keep you active at home, we have a number of free and low-cost activities the whole family can participate in. You can find out more on our Active and healthy at home page.

Become a provider - Applications open now!

Are you passionate about helping the community? Do you want to deliver activities that make a difference to the health and wellbeing of the people of Logan?

Why not become an Active and Healthy service provider.

Applications for the next Active and Healthy program are open now and will close on 14 February 2022. The new program delivery dates are from 1 July 2022 until 30 June 2023.

Can we help promote your health and wellbeing activities?

Are you currently running a free or low-cost health and wellbeing activity in Logan? If so, we’d love to help you promote it for FREE in our Active and Healthy booklet. Community swimming programs

Swim Logan

Australia has many rivers, lakes and oceans so it’s important for all Australians to know how to swim. Swim Logan is a free learn to swim program for New Australian adults who are over 16 years of age and living in Logan.

Swim Logan is a program funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Health. The program will run until December 2022 and aims to significantly reduce cases of drowning.

Nyerroolahle Logan: Come and Swim

It’s important for Community to improve their health and well-being, while also increasing confidence in the water. We are delivering Nyerroolahle Logan, a free swimming program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who are over 16 years of age and living in Logan.
