Australia Day Awards

The City of Logan Australia Day Awards celebrates the achievements and contributions of extraordinary Logan citizens. These community members inspire us and challenge us to make our own contribution to creating a better city.

The 'Citizen of the Year' and ‘Young Citizen of the Year’ awards hold special significance in our great city. These awards are presented to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the local community over a number of years.

If you know a local hero who is deserving of this accolade, please nominate them now.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are the condition of entry placed on all nominations: 

  1. Nominees must be a resident of the City of Logan at the time of nomination.
  2. Nominees must be aware they are nominated
  3. Council employees or elected members are not eligible for the awards.
  4. Young Person of the Year is open to persons 27 years or younger
  5. The Citizen of The Year Award is available to only one recipient
  6. The Young Person of The Year Award is available to only one recipient
  7. The winners will be announced at the Logan Australia Day Awards on Friday 26 January 2024
  8. The nominee has not won a City of Logan Australia Day Award in the last 10 years

How to nominate

Nominations are currently closed.

The judging process

The winners will be selected by an independent committee.

The Judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into by Logan City Council.
