Beenleigh Town Square has been transformed from a six-way roundabout into a vibrant community space. Its development was driven by the community’s desire to transform the heart of Beenleigh into a place of cultural exchange and activity. Beenleigh Town Square includes:
- a civic platform
- a pavilion structure that could accommodate a future cafe
- an open-air market space. Beenleigh Town Square brings significant economic and social benefits to the Beenleigh community and contributes to Beenleigh becoming a welcoming and attractive destination for visitors. The space can host a variety of events including markets, local festivals and concerts.
Parking
The Beenleigh parking map shows the proposed timed parking zones for the town centre. These will be implemented after consultation with local residents and businesses and research into the parking options available near Beenleigh Town Square.
Public transport
There are several public transport options near Beenleigh Town Square. Beenleigh Train Station is a 300m walk and the nearest bus stop is a 250m walk from Beenleigh Town Square.

Free movies at Beenleigh Town Square
Kick back and relax under the stars by bringing your own chair or picnic blanket!
Why not support the local businesses by purchasing dinner in the town centre, or bring your own food. Some events will feature on-site vendors serving hot food, popcorn and drinks.
Free popcorn and video games
Attendees can enjoy a free cup of popcorn on the night – limited cups available and redemption instructions will be provided on your registration confirmation.
Play retro video games on the big screen, commencing 30 minutes before the movie starts.

Beenleigh Town Square can be used to host a variety of events including markets, local festivals and concerts.

- Accommodates a maximum of 32 marquees (3m x 3m)
- Can accommodate between 80 and 90 4-seater tables within the designated area

- An event management plan should be submitted to the satisfaction of the Beenleigh Town Square precinct management at least one week before the event and should show how pedestrian movement, shown on the pedestrian movement map, can be accommodated

- Area 6 – includes the Civic Platform, Market space, Lawn 1 and Lawn 2, the shared zone through the Beenleigh Town Square, Rotary Park and part of James Street

- Large events need a temporary road closure application and could need a permit from Queensland Rail
- An event management plan should be submitted to the satisfaction of the Beenleigh Town Square precinct management at least one week before the event and should show how pedestrian movement, shown on the Pedestrian Movement Map (PDF 2848 KB), are accommodated
- Total area of 6,665m²
- Three phase power available on request
- Public amenities (4 unisex toilets, 1 ambulant toilet and 1 disabled toilet)
- Convenient parking (1,220m² – 50 car parks)
Big screen
A 4m x 3m LED screen located on the Civic Platform.
Cafe
The area designated for a future cafe covers an area of 285m² and will be separately licensed.
Smoking ban
The Beenleigh Town Square precinct is a non-smoking environment.
Smoking in the precinct is banned under the Subordinate Local Law No. 6 (Smoke Free Places) 2015. Smoking in a smoke-free place incurs a fine. A fine also applies to anyone who does not comply with a verbal direction from an authorised officer.
