About this event

Take part in a worldwide citizen science event and help showcase our beautiful biodiversity to the world!

The City of Logan is participating in the 2023 City Nature Challenge where cities from around the world come together to explore their amazing local biodiversity and vie against each other, in a collaborative and friendly challenge, to find and document their local species.

During the 4-day challenge, from 28 April to 1 May, get out in Logan’s natural areas, your backyard or a park and snap a photo of any wild plant or animal. Upload your sightings to the iNaturalist app or website, add the location and share it to showcase Logan’s biodiversity.

Your sightings will automatically be added to our project page: City Nature Challenge 2023: Logan City Council · iNaturalist

To find out more about what is being observed across the world during the Challenge, check out this iNaturalist project page: City Nature Challenge 2023 · iNaturalist

If you’re not familiar with any of the plants and animals, that doesn’t matter, as other users on iNaturalist can identify the sightings for you during the observation period (2 – 7 May). Learn more at City Nature Challenge (citynaturechallenge.org)

If you'd like to find some areas to explore during the Challenge, check out this list of Logan's parks and what can be found there: Natural Areas in the City of Logan · iNaturalist
