Community Reference Group

A Community Reference Group is operating during the detailed design and construction phases of the Cedar Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant. For more information please refer to the Terms of reference (PDF 584 KB). The group is not open to new participants.

Chambers Flat Wastewater Treatment Plant

A new wastewater treatment facility is needed to service new developments between Park Ridge and Yarrabilba in the coming years. The planned facility called the Chambers Flat wastewater treatment plant is proposed to be constructed on Pleasant View Road in Chambers Flat.

Current status

Council is progressing the acquisition of land at Pleasant View Road, Chambers Flat.  An update will be provided to residents toward the end of the year when further information is available.

Community consultation

As Council has not acquired land for the Chambers Flat WWTP, a formal call for nominations for the Community Reference Group will not be called at this stage.

Residents can still express their interest in participating in the Community Reference Group by emailing us at or calling Tania Keelan on 07 3412 9609.

If you have previously expressed interest in joining this group, your details have been kept and the project team will contact you at the appropriate time.
