Authority to act

If you are authorising an individual or another business to act for you, it’s important to have a legal document in place to outline the rights and responsibilities of each party. 

When you give a person or organisation's representative authority to act you are giving them permission to complete certain tasks on your behalf, like completing and submitting applications, and making declarations and payments.

To give authority to act to a person or organisation, you can:

The purpose of this form is to authorise someone to act on your behalf. A separate form is required for each person or organisation you wish to authorise.

The requested authority to act will be withdrawn when specified on the form or you can withdraw the authority to act by submitting your request in writing.
