City of Logan Charitable Trust

The City of Logan Charitable Trust (previously the City of Logan Mayors Charity Trust) has been servicing and supporting the Logan community since 2017.

The core purpose of the Trust is creating hope by building and uplifting a sustainable, empowered and connected community inspired by the Logan spirit.  We seek to do this through providing grants and help to the youth of our community.

Grants and financial help from the Trust are available to charities and other organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status providing services and outcomes within the Logan area to ensure the youth of our city continue to grow and thrive.

Eligibility

Are you:

  • operating within or delivering outcomes within the City of Logan
  • providing support or services to the young people of Logan
  • a charitable organisation with DGR status or willing to be supported by another organisation with DGR status
  • in need of some financial help to realise your goals.

Grant rounds

As a general guide the Trust grant rounds are open from April to May and October to November with successful grants distributed in June and December. These timetables may vary slightly.

Applications and how to apply

Applications are open all year. You can lodge your application:

If you are a charitable organisation and do not have DGR status you may still be eligible for a grant if you are willing to be supported by another organisation with DGR status.

How is the decision made?

All applications are assessed by the Directors of the Trust and applicants are advised in writing of the outcome of their application within four weeks.

Applications will be favourably viewed if they can show:

  • how they benefit the young people of our community
  • a sustainable outcome from the grant
  • how the grant or financial help would be allocated
  • a genuine need for funding.
