About this event

Get excited about Logan's native wildlife and celebrate World Wildlife Day as you get the chance to meet to native animals and learn more from wildlife experts!

Adults will learn more about local wildlife and ways to help them on your property, including practical tips to make your backyards more wildlife friendly. You'll also get the opportunity to find out how you can help local organisations rescue and care for our wildlife, as well as ask Council's environment officers any questions.

Kids will get up close with Logan's RSPCA Animal Ambulance and native wildlife from Geckoes. They'll discover the local habitat's wildlife live in, what they need to survive and how to spy them when adventuring in Logan's natural areas.

Registration required spaces are limited.

Important information before  you register

  • Suitable for ages 5 years and over with an accompanying adult.
  • Suitable for individuals and families.
  • The adults session is recommended for people aged 13 years and over.
  • Bookings required - all adults and children must have a ticket for this event.

Information for the day of the event

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event to check in.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult. The kid's session will run concurrently to the adult's session - children aged 5 years and over will not be required to be directly supervised in order for accompanying adults to participate in the relevant session.
  • Please bring a water bottle.
  • Optional: a snack or picnic lunch for after the event as there are no food outlets at the venue.

This event is delivered by Logan City Council in conjunction with RSPCA QLD , BirdLife Southern QLD, Geckoes Wildlife and Wildlife Preservation Society of QLD as part of the City of Logan's Environmental Events and Activities Program.
