Unowned, feral and domestic wild cats

Unowned, feral or domestic wild cats are the same species as our pet cats, but they have adapted to living off the land

These types of cats rely on hunting and scavenging for food and are a direct threat to some of our native animals and birds. When living closer to our residential communities, also cause significant nuisance to people, property and other animals.

Feral cats are declared a pest animal under the Biosecurity Act 2014. Our Biosecurity Plan aims to help us manage populations of feral cats in Logan City.
