Eat Safe Logan

Eat Safe Logan is a system to promote food safety. The five-star rating system aims to encourage food businesses to maintain high food safety standards.

We give an Eat Safe Logan star rating to most food businesses in Logan for them to display (excluding water carriers or food stalls).

Incentives for high-rating businesses include:

  • recognition and rewards
  • discounted annual licence fees
  • fewer inspections
  • the opportunity to list their business on our website.

Consumers benefit from the rating system by being able to choose to buy food from businesses with higher star ratings.

Food business that achieve a three-star rating and above have met the Food Act 2006 and Food Safety Standards and have good management practices.
