Active and Healthy program

The Active and Healthy program (formerly Live Well Logan) offers free or low-cost physical activity, health and wellbeing programs near you. Activities are suitable for everyone, regardless of your age, gender, mobility or work schedule.

Keeping fit and healthy has never been so important. Regular movement and exercise can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing through:

  • Relieving stress
  • Improving memory
  • Improved sleep
  • Boosting mood

Become a provider

Are you passionate about helping the community? Do you want to deliver activities that make a difference to the health and wellbeing of the people of Logan? Why not become an Active and Healthy service provider.

We are currently taking applications for service providers to deliver Active and Healthy activities between 1 November 2022 and 30 June 2023. During this round of programming, we are looking for providers who can deliver activities to support the health and wellbeing of our:

  • children and families
  • culturally and linguistically diverse communities
  • people with disability.

Applications will open on 19 September 2022 and close 4 October 2022.

Community swimming programs

Swim Logan

Australia has many rivers, lakes and oceans so it’s important for all Australians to know how to swim. Swim Logan is a free learn to swim program for New Australian adults who are over 16 years of age and living in Logan.

Swim Logan is a program funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Health. The program will run until December 2022 and aims to significantly reduce cases of drowning.

Nyerroolahle Logan: Come and Swim

It’s important for Community to improve their health and well-being, while also increasing confidence in the water. We are delivering Nyerroolahle Logan, a free swimming program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who are over 16 years of age and living in Logan.

To book or to find out more, please visit the Logan Leisure Centres - Nyerroolahle Logan. The program is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Health and will run until December 2022.
