An insight into how to apply for grant funding in the City of Logan will be revealed during an upcoming workshop series.

Logan City Council's Community Grants team members will present free Grants Assist sessions from mid-May.

The three sessions include:

  • Logan Hyperdome Library (1.30pm to 3pm, Thursday, May 18)
  • Logan North Library (9.30am to 11.30am, Friday, June 2)
  • Logan Central Library (1.30pm to 3pm, Thursday, June 15)

The sessions will assist organisations or individuals applying for grants from Council.

Grants available cover community development, sport and recreation, community events, environmental grants and the Regional Arts Development Fund.

The small-group information sessions will allow participants to ask questions about grant application processes and work through their funding applications.

Information will be provided on grant guidelines, selection criteria and application writing tips and tricks.

Deputy Mayor and City Lifestyle Chair Laurie Koranski said the information sessions would support anyone interested in applying for financial assistance from Council.

“I encourage anyone who wants to learn more about Council’s grants program, and how to best access the available funding, to attend one of the future information sessions,” Cr Koranski said.

Bookings are essential for the sessions and can be made through Logan Libraries.
