Jimboomba Central’s commitment to urban design-led considerations in all aspects of its resolution has elevated it to the overall winner in this year’s awards.

The dominance of car focussed solutions in this project type typically lead to underwhelming streetscapes and poor public amenity.

This project subverts the dominant solution to provide a strong identity for the project and the wider precinct. It is likely to be a reference project for similar future retail projects in the city.

The solution is clever in design, sophisticated in spatial terms and its choice of materials, and generous in its inclusion of landscaping.
