This amendment makes a range of changes to provide certainty for specific industries, reduce red tape and create opportunities for new business, and respond to growth in a sustainable way.

Springwood Local Plan amendment

This amendment expands the Springwood local plan area and introduces new precincts for improved planning, refines building height requirements and parking rules and improves pedestrian and cycle networks.

Monday 9 December 2019 to Friday 31 January 2020 (inclusive)

During the consultation period, submissions can be made to support or object to all or part of the proposed amendment.

Before an amendment is progressed, we will consider all properly made submissions received during the consultation period. We will notify those who have given us their feedback about how their submission has been dealt with. We are also required to give the Queensland Government a summary of the matters raised in properly made submissions, and explain how they have been dealt with.

To be properly made, a submission must:

  • be made in writing and be signed by each person making the submission, unless it is made electronically
  • be received by Council during the consultation period (on or before the last day)
  • include the name and residential or business address of each person making the submission
  • state the grounds for the submission, and the facts and circumstances relied on to support the grounds
  • state a postal or electronic address for service relating to the submission.
