Dennis Family Cemetery

Address: Daisy Hill Road, Daisy Hill

History

Just through the entrance to the Daisy Hill Forest, on the left, are the Dennis family graves. James Dennis and his sister Nanny came to Queensland on the Flying Cloud in 1864, and James selected land adjoining what is now state forest. He married Mary Ann Markwell and they had eighteen children. Many family members are buried in this family burial ground. It is still in use.
