We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the Logan community. We do this by working with local sport and recreation organisations.
Active people – travel assistance grants
The Active People - Travel Assistance funding program aims to provide Logan residents with assistance in covering costs associated with attending State, National or International competitions.
We provide funding to help pay for:
- direct travel and accommodation expenses
- compulsory competition fees
- compulsory uniform items.
Funding available
| Type of grant | Amount |
|---|---|
| All state and national events | Up to $300 until budgeted funds are exhausted |
| All international events | Up to $500 until budgeted funds are exhausted |
| International events held in Australia | Up to $300 until budgeted funds are exhausted |
Application timeframes
- Applications open on the first working day of the month.
- Applications close on the last working day of the month.

How to apply
Applications for the 2023/2024 financial year have closed due to a fully exhausted program budget.
Active People Travel Assistance will re-open for applications on 1 July 2024.

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications must be submitted up to 6 months after the event start date.
Active spaces – maintenance
Clubs and organisations can apply for funds to help with high-priority maintenance projects. You can apply for items like:
- new maintenance equipment
- facility maintenance
- playing field maintenance
- hard court surface maintenance.

Opens midnight 1 September 2024 and closes midnight 30 September 2024.
