Sport and recreation funding

We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the Logan community. We do this by working with local sport and recreation organisations.

Active people – travel assistance grants

The Active People - Travel Assistance funding program aims to provide Logan residents with assistance  in covering costs associated with attending State, National or International competitions.

We provide funding to help pay for:

  • Direct travel and accommodation expenses;
  • Compulsory competition fees; and
  • Compulsory uniform items.

Funding available

Type of grant Amount
All state and national events Up to $300
All international events Up to $500
International events held in Australia Up to $300

Application timeframes

  • Applications open on the first working day of the month.
  • Applications close on the last working day of the month.

Active people – club equipment

Our Active people – club equipment program helps clubs and organisations to buy the equipment they need for training and game days.

Application timeframes

Funding rounds open in February and September each year.

Active spaces – maintenance

Clubs and organisations can apply for funds to help with high-priority maintenance projects. You can apply for items like:

  • new maintenance equipment
  • facility maintenance
  • playing field maintenance
  • hard court surface maintenance

Based on current membership (see funding guidelines for full details) $1,000 to $3,000

Application timeframes

Funding rounds open in February and September each year.
