Logan City Council is upgrading a section of the Woodlands Drive stormwater catchment at Rochedale South.
Works will involve upgrading drainage infrastructure along sections of:
Woodlands Drive stormwater needs to be upgraded to provide better flood protection for the area during wet weather.
What are we doing?
Works will involve:
installing new drainage infrastructure (pipelines, maintenance holes and culverts)
upgrading sections of wastewater pipelines
improving the drainage outlet structure at Woodlands Park
replacing sections of kerb and footpaths, where needed
removing and trimming vegetation around the work zone, as required
landscaping at Woodlands Park
replacing or relocating services, as required
residential driveway reconstruction
road pavement restoration.
Upgrading the infrastructure is complex as some of the new pipes measure up to three meters in diameter. This, combined with live traffic, a busy residential area and overhead and underground services, equals a challenging task.
To reduce the duration of the works, we will have multiple site crews actively working on the project.
This will speed up the works and reduce inconvenience to the community.
