Yarrabilba community hub

The Yarrabilba community hub is a new community space we are delivering through an innovative partnership.

Our project partners are:

  • the Queensland Government
  • Logan City Council
  • Brisbane Catholic Education
  • Lendlease.

Yarrabilba is growing rapidly, with the population expected to reach 50,000 when fully developed.

This project new hub is one part of a community facilities network which will help meet the growing demand for services and spaces in Yarrabilba.

The new community hub will be an inclusive, engaging and responsive place that enables a thriving community to connect, learn, earn and innovate.

The Yarrabilba community hub is planned to open in mid-2022. It allows project partners to pool resources and provide one integrated facility.

The site is located on Basalt Drive, between the Yarrabilba State Secondary College and San Damiano College.

Design of the community hub has been completed and allows for the community to connect with each other and provide learning and employment pathways through training and development. Because the hub is located between two secondary schools, a dedicated youth space will be an important part of the community hub.

Construction of the hub will begin in the last quarter of 2021.

Council is giving our community the chance to help name the new community hub. Come visit us at the Balls and Beats at McKinnon Sports Park on Saturday 16 October or keep checking this page to find out more.
