How do I become a KRANK provider?

Application have now closed. The next round of application will be available in November 2021.

How does it work?

We will be looking to deliver fun school holiday activities across all areas of our city. Activities should:

  • be for children aged 5 to 11 years or 12 to 17 years
  • be good value for money
  • meet existing or emerging community needs
  • show regular participation and positive feedback (if delivered before)
  • be held in line with our terms and conditions.

Activities may be held in person (in line with current COVID restrictions) or you may prefer to deliver an online activity.

Online activities need to include a workshop for participants to follow along (either a pre-recorded video or live online workshop) and an activity kit with everything they need to participate in the activity. Activity kits would need to be delivered to participant’s homes in time for the school holidays.

We will give preference to providers based in Logan. If you’re looking for a venue or park for your activity, see our website for locations of our fantastic community centres or parks

Benefits of participating

As part of the KRANK program, you may receive:

  • Funding to cover the cost of your activity. This may include costs such as facilitator fees, equipment or venue hire.
  • You can also charge a low-cost fee per participant which you will keep as the provider.
  • Promotion of your activity through our booklets, website, social media and community events.

Terms and conditions

As a provider, you will need to give us evidence of:

  • $20m public liability insurance
  • copies of blue cards (if required by Blue Card Services)
  • current first aid and CPR qualifications (for in person activities)
  • a copy of your COVID-Safe Plan for each activity. As a business, it is your responsibility to ensure your activities are COVID-safe. If you need advice call the COVID hotline on 13 42 68.
  • relevant qualifications for your activity (if required).

You will also need to:

  • sign a contract with Council
  • attend an annual provider forum, even if you have attended before
  • book your venue and arrange payment for the hire costs, we will reimburse you for this later
  • notify Council of your event if you want to use a Council park
  • take bookings from the bookings opening date and manage participant enquiries
  • make sure every participant fills in a registration form at the beginning of each activity, even if they have participated before
  • give us the completed registration forms along with your invoice at the end of the program
  • complete end-of-term reporting by the due date
  • help us promote your activity - all promotional material must include KRANK and Council logos

Invoicing and reporting

KRANK activities run during the school holidays. At the end of the school holidays, you will be able to lodge your invoice.

It's our policy to pay invoices within 14 days of the invoice date. We cannot pay until you've given us all your reporting forms, so get that to us as quick as you can at the completion of the school holidays!
