To apply for an Animal keeping approval, please see Animal keeping local laws and permits.
You may need a development approval if you want to keep more guinea pigs than an animal keeping approval allows. For more information please see Development in Logan.

Enclosures must not be:

- within 10 metres of a neighbouring dwelling
General requirements
As a responsible pet owner, you must make sure keeping the guinea pigs does not cause:
- a build-up of animal faeces
- breeding or harbouring of flies or vermin
- damage to property
- harm to human health or safety
- nuisance
- disruption to a neighbour’s enjoyment
