Swim Logan – a success story

The Swim Logan project delivered free water safety awareness sessions and learn to swim programs for migrants, refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 16 years and over.  Swim Logan was funded by the Australian Government from July 2020 to December 2022. We delivered the project in partnership with The Aqua English Project, the Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland and Aqualogan.

The program achieved strong outcomes for our community. A summary of Swim Logan’s achievements can be viewed in the Swim Logan infographic (PDF 4.32 MB)

There are many opportunities to learn to swim as an adult in the City of Logan. You can learn to swim in a group or in a private one-on-one lesson. For a list of free and low-cost swimming lessons, please view our Active & Healthy program booklet or you can visit the Now I can swim website.
