Project overview

We have upgraded Chambers Flat Road between Holloway Road and Kenny Road in Chambers Flat.

This project was delivered with support from the Australian Government’s Black Spot Program.

Latest update

The safety upgrades at this section of Chambers Flat Road are now complete.

Works started in September 2024 and were completed in May 2025.

The Black Spot Program was introduced as part of the Australian Government's commitment to reduce the risk of crashes. The program targets locations where crashes have occurred or are at risk of happening.

We are committed to improving road safety across Logan. This upgrade will help deliver a safer road by reducing the risk of potential future crashes.

Safety upgrades are now complete.

Project features

The design includes:

  • a new guardrail to protect vehicles from the Chambers Creek underpass
  • new street lighting to improve visibility in low light conditions
  • part of the Pleasant View Road intersection resurfaced to improve vehicle traction
  • upgraded the road line markings to better show the road edges in each lane
  • new and improved signage including installing flashing warning signs.

  • improved visibility and sightlines
  • quicker and more reliable travel times 
  • a safer environment for vehicles, as traffic increases.
