We are designing a project to widen Loganlea Road, between the Logan Motorway and Nujooloo Road.
Logan is one of the fastest growing cities in Australia, with the population set to almost double by 2041.
This population increase will see more vehicles on our roads and we are investing in the network to make sure it is fit for the future. The Loganlea Road upgrade will cater for the existing congestion and the projected traffic growth.
The project is included in the Way2Go Connecting Logan local transport plan and is listed as being a strategic north-south link road. For more information, please download Way2Go Plan (PDF 1.3 MB).
Project features
The proposed upgrade project will:
widen Loganlea Road to six lanes (three lanes in each direction) from Logan Motorway to Ray Hodgson Bridge
add another lane to the northbound section of Ray Hodgson Bridge (ahead of the M1 Motorway on-ramp)
improve existing intersections
enhance active transport (walking and cycling) opportunities.
Project benefits
The Loganlea Road upgrade project will deliver a range of benefits, including:
improved traffic flow and less congestion
quicker and more reliable journey times
a safer environment as traffic increases for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
