Park Ridge Road and Doug White Drive Upgrade

We have commenced design of on an upgrade of the intersection at Park Ridge Road and Doug White Drive in Park Ridge.

With the wider Park Ridge area developing and growing, the signalised intersection is designed to help improve road safety and traffic flow around the Park Ridge Town Centre as traffic levels in the area increase.

Project features

The upgrade will include the following:

  • Installation of a new signalised intersection with additional through lanes, dedicated turning lanes and traffic signals.
  • Installation of on-road cycle lanes along Park Ridge Road adjacent to Jedfire Park.
  • Construction of new footpath adjacent to Jedfire Park.
  • Construction of new centre median and line marking.

Property impacts

Given the nature of the project, in some cases we will need to acquire a corridor of land from properties for the wider road design.

We will aim to minimise property impacts as much as possible during the design phase and will engage with property owners to advise them of the expected land acquisition area.

Project timings

The detailed design of the project is schedule to be completed by mid-2022.

The process to acquire the land for the intersection upgrade will commence early June 2022. We will commence reaching out to impacted property owners late May 2022.

The timing of construction works is subject to finalisation of the project design and land acquisition process.

We keep the local community informed of a construction start date once confirmed.
