We partner with landowners to help them manage the natural areas of their property.
Joining the Environmental Conservation Partnerships (ECP) program can give you access to:
- free plants, nest boxes and herbicide
- land management and technical advice for your property
- newsletters and information
- free educational events, including hands-on workshops and online webinars.
There are a range of partnership options that are free for you to join:
- Habitat Connections
- Land for Wildlife
- Voluntary Restoration Agreements
- Voluntary Conservation Agreements
- Voluntary Conservation Covenants.

Habitat Connections is a free program for all residents in the City of Logan.
Residents who join this program can get support to create backyards that are wildlife friendly.
Habitat Connections members receive:
- free native plants each year to attract local wildlife
- expert advice from Council officers to help create a wildlife-friendly backyard
- access to resources to learn about weeds, native plants and wildlife
- access to workshops and activities about relevant topics
- a Habitat Connections sign to display on their fence.

Land for Wildlife is a free, voluntary program to help manage wildlife habitat on private property. To be eligible, your property needs to be at least 10,000㎡ (1 hectare).
Land for Wildlife members receive:
- an annual incentive package, including a choice of free native plants, land management items and nest boxes (subject to availability)
- expert advice from Council officers to:
- restore disturbed or degraded land
- manage weeds and pest animals
- create wildlife corridors
- improve water quality in creeks and rivers
- reduce risks of bushfire
- help threatened species.
- access to workshops and activities about relevant topics
- eligibility to apply for EnviroGrants funding to help with projects linked to the On-ground Ecosystem Restoration category
- a Land for Wildlife sign to display on their fence.

Voluntary Conservation Agreements and Covenants are formal agreements between Council and landowners designed to give a higher level of support to improve and manage natural areas on private property.
In addition to receiving all the benefits listed for the Land for Wildlife program above, a formal agreement allows our partners to:
- access annual Council grants to fund conservation work on their property
- receive an Environmental Levy exemption on their rates.
The following agreements are available to landowners whose properties contain significant biodiversity values that they wish to conserve for the future:
To apply, your property must contain at least 1 hectare of good quality native vegetation and must contribute to the conservation value of the city.

Voluntary Restoration Agreements (VRA) help to improve vegetation cover along the banks of waterways and in ecological corridors across Logan. This formal agreement allows our partners to access:
- annual Council grants to fund conservation work on their property

- free educational events, including hands-on workshops and online webinars.
