We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of the Logan community. We do this by working with local sport and recreation organisations.

Active people - Travel assistance grants

The Active People - Travel Assistance funding program aims to provide Logan residents with assistance in covering costs associated with attending State, National or International competitions.

We provide funding to help pay for:

  • direct travel and accommodation expenses
  • compulsory competition fees
  • compulsory uniform items.

Funding available

Type of grant Amount
All state and national events Up to $300 until budgeted funds are exhausted
All international events Up to $500 until budgeted funds are exhausted
International events held in Australia Up to $300 until budgeted funds are exhausted

Application timeframes

  • Applications open on the first working day of the month.
  • Applications close on the last working day of the month.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted up to 6 months after the event start date.

Active spaces - maintenance

Clubs and organisations can apply for funds to help with high-priority maintenance projects. You can apply for items like:

  • new maintenance equipment
  • facility maintenance
  • playing field maintenance
  • hard court surface maintenance.

Type of grant Amount
Based on current membership, see funding guidelines for full details $1,000 to $3,000

Application timeframes

Opens midnight 1 February 2026 and closes midnight 2 March 2026.
