Environmental health compliance strategies

Our Environmental Health Program helps us maintain public health and environmental standards in Logan. The key environmental health legislations include:

  • Public Health (Infection Control for Personal Appearance Services) Act 2003
  • Logan City Council Local Law 9 (Licensing) 1999
  • Logan City Council Local Law 10 (Public Health) 1999
  • Logan City Council Local Law 12 (Council Property and Other Public Places)
  • Environmental Protection Act 1994

We have developed some compliance strategies to help Environmental Health Officers make clear and consistent decisions. This will result in solutions based on the actual risk posed to public health and the environment.
