Climate change resilience
Future Climate
Understanding how our future climate is subject to changes is crucial for adaptation and preparedness. The Queensland Future Climate dashboard provides high resolution simulations for seven climate variables. The spatial information has a 10 kilometre resolution and includes 4 future time periods.
Climate Change Resilience Strategy
Logan City Council’s Climate Change Resilience Strategy 2021–2031(PDF, 4MB) is our road map to building resilience in response to the effects of a changing and variable climate.
This supports our commitment to being a carbon neutral and green city. It is also a platform for our long-term planning to address the impacts of climate change and ensure the long-term viability of the City of Logan’s environment, economy and community.
Climate Change Resilience Policy
We have adopted a Climate Change Resilience Policy(PDF, 310KB) which sets out our commitment to manage the risks of a variable and changing climate.
We recognise that a variable and changing climate could potentially result in adverse consequences on the organisation and the Logan community. As a city, we are committed to identifying and implementing mitigation, adaptation and resilience building actions to avoid and minimise climate-related risks
