Other funding opportunities

Alongside Council grants, there are other funding opportunities that you could consider.

  • City of Logan Charitable Trust - available to charities and other organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR Type 1) status providing services and outcomes within the Logan area.
  • Gambling Community Benefit Fund - Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program, distributing approximately $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups.
  • Bendigo Bank - help with grants, scholarships and community focussed appeals
  • IGA Community Chest - IGA stores are independently owned, so each store will choose the local causes that they would like to support. Please find your local IGA and approach them directly.
  • Bakers Delight - supports the community through fundraising drives, partnerships and initiatives that give back to the community.
  • Queensland XRay Community Fund - donates approximately $200,000 a year in cash and in-kind donations towards initiatives that improve health and wellbeing.
  • RACQ Local Giving program - gives community organisations the opportunity to apply for grants up to $500 through their local RACQ store.
  • Greenbank Services Club Community Benefit Foundation - provides grants to local charities and organisations to support youth, health, culture and community.

Fundraising opportunities

While grants are a valuable source of funding, organisations are encouraged to consider long-term sustainability through a broader fundraising plan.  Other income sources can include:

  • sponsorship
  • membership fees
  • donations
  • in-kind support
  • events and campaigns
