Project overview
We are upgrading the intersection at Park Ridge Road and Doug White Drive alongside extending Doug White Drive to establish a seamless connection through to Kantenna Street in Park Ridge.
With the wider Park Ridge area developing and growing, the intersection upgrade and extension of Doug White Drive is designed to help improve road safety and traffic flow around the Park Ridge Town Centre shopping centre as traffic levels in the area increase.

The timing of construction works for the intersection upgrade is subject to the outcome of property acquisitions.

Project features
The project will deliver:
- installation of a new signalised intersection with additional through lanes and dedicated turning lanes
- active transport facilities with concrete footpaths, shared paths for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as dedicated on-road cycle lanes
- signalised pedestrian crossing facilities
- concrete centre medians
- designated parking bays and line marking along Doug White Drive
- street lighting
- kerb and channelling to improve catchment of stormwater flows
- connectivity with the future extension of Doug White Drive, linking seamlessly to Kantenna Street, to improve traffic flow around Park Ridge Town Centre shopping centre. This extension will also provide an additional route for commuters traveling from Park Ridge Road to the Mount Lindesay Highway East Service Road.

Land requirements
To complete the extension of Doug White Drive through to Kantenna Street, some land will need to be acquired in addition to land from nearby properties on Park Ridge Road to accommodate the intersection upgrade.
We have identified and met with potentially impacted property owners. We aim to minimise property impacts as much as possible.
